support@dearlymoney.comWhere is my data kept?
On your iPhone. Dearly has no account and no server that holds your spending. Privacy has the details.
How do I move Dearly to a new iPhone?
Your iPhone’s backup includes Dearly. Set up the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup and Dearly comes across with everything in it.
How do I record Apple Pay payments automatically?
In Dearly, tap the coin in the top corner, then Settings, then Wallet capture. Then:
- Turn on notifications, so you hear about each recorded payment.
- Open Shortcuts → Automation → New → Transaction.
- Choose your cards.
- Add “Record Wallet Transaction” and map Amount, Merchant and Card.
- Turn off “Ask Before Running”.
Your next Apple Pay payment is recorded by itself.
Which exchange rates does Dearly use?
The European Central Bank’s reference rates, published each working day. An expense is converted at the rate for the day you spent it. For a currency the bank doesn’t publish, Dearly asks for your own rate when you start a trip there.
Why do amounts start with ≈?
Spending in another currency shows its value in your home currency with ≈, because it’s converted at the reference rate rather than at what your bank charged. A total starts with ≈ while one of its days is still waiting for its rate, usually because you were offline; that ≈ goes once the rate arrives.
How do I delete everything?
Delete Dearly from your iPhone and its data goes with it.
